2009-07-23 :: Why do women compete?

I have been lucky to be so successful in the many things that I participate in. I dont have many female friends because often times I think they are threatened by me. If I do better than them careerwise, with men, or overall they get salty. I have always had a go-getter attitude and always try to succeed, but alot of women find this threatening. Its kind of hard to hold back this quality about myself and I try not to brag about my accomplishments so what exactly is it? Why do women compete? I rememeber back in school there were a couple of girls that would always be in my bf's face. Especially when Im within eyesight. They would also compete with me in sports, academics...anything they could. Even to this day almost 10 years later they are STILL competing and salty. WHAT IS IT!!! I have two female friends today that are not threatened by me and they are my best friends. They are not jealous, hateful, spiteful or competitive because they recognize their own strenghts. I love those girls. I just wish other women I meet can just fall in line like them but I guess that would be too easy huh?!
